Cases dealt with at Leicester Magistrates' Court include:

Joseph Bater (26), of Waterloo Way, Leicester city centre, admitted three charges of beating a woman in June, causing criminal damage to the woman's mobile phone on June 26 and obstructing a constable on the same day.

He was jailed for 12 weeks.

Neil Julian (27), of Grove Road, Whetstone, admitted beating a woman and damaging a window on March 16.

He was ordered to take part in a domestic abuse programme, pay £135 court costs and pay a £60 victim surcharge.

Neil Garnett (48), of Upper Temple Walk, Beaumont Leys, Leicester, admitted using racially or religiously aggravated harassment on June 21.

He was fined £130 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.

Jonathan Hickson (52), of Chapel Street, Ibstock, admitted assaulting a woman on May 26.

He was ordered to pay £150 compensation, £85 court costs and a £60 victim surcharge.

Anthony Moore (24), of Cordery Road, Evington, Leicester, admitted beating a woman on June 13.

He was given a community order and ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge.

Gemma Swailes (32), of Iona Close, Beaumont Leys, Leicester, admitted two charges of assaulting a man in May.

She was given a community order and ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge.

Matthew Nicholls (23), of Johnson Road, Uppingham, admitted two charges of assaulting a woman on May 25 and June 1.

He was ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 court costs and a £60 victim surcharge.

Tommy Corkum (20), of Cowdall Road, Braunstone, Leicester, admitted beating a woman on May 19. He was given a 14-week jail sentence suspended for 24 months and ordered to pay £100 compensation and an £80 victim surcharge.

Rebecca Aitken (34), of Westcotes Drive, West End, Leicester, pleaded guilty to possessing two counterfeit £20 notes for use in fraud, possessing methadone and amphetamine on May 16, and failing to surrender to custody on June 17 and June 19. She received a community order including 12 months drug dependency treatment and was told to pay a £60 victim surcharge. An order was made for the drugs to be forfeited and destroyed. Ilyaas Khan (30), of Berners Street, Spinney Hills, Leicester, admitted two charges of causing criminal damage to cars on May 9 and May 22. He was ordered to do 115 hours of unpaid work, pay £250 compensation, £85 court costs and a £60 victim surcharge. Richard Walters (41), of Linney Road, Beaumont Leys, Leicester, admitted assaulting a woman on April 21. He was given a community order and ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge. Lakhbir Singh Bajwa (43), of Portsmouth Road, Belgrave, Leicester, was committed to prison for four months for breaching an anti-social behaviour order by ringing the police on 999 when there was not an emergency, on July 8, a further five months for intimidating a witness on June 20, and failing to comply with a community order on September 26, 2012, by failing to attend an unpaid work appointment when he lived in Elmdale Street, Belgrave, Leicester. He pleaded guilty to all three of the offences. Andrew John Graham (30), of Bradgate House, Stretton Road, Leicester, pleaded guilty to stealing a handbag worth £39 from Dorothy Perkins, Gallowtree Gate, in Leicester, on June 5.
