FULL-TIME: Tigers 32 Worcester 15 80min: With six seconds left on the clock, Goneva goes in for a try. It goes to the TMO, who is happy to award try. Sub Williams converts. That's the bonus point, but Tigers made hard work of it. 75min: Goerdan Murphy may have complained the first-half was flat.It has to be said the second half is not much better. 70min: Today's attendance is 20,230 for this season's opener. 65min: Try for Worcester. Matavesi after a superb breakaway in the corner. Mieres misses the conversion badly. 64min: It's gone pretty quiet here again with a few replacements coming on. Slater for Deacon and Waldrom for Crane. 56 min: Try for Worcester after stirling defence by Tigers. Sub Jones goes over for his first ry in five years. Mieres converts. It's 25-10 now. 55min: Geordan Murphy talking at half-time described his team's performance as "flat." He expects the tempo to increase in the second-half. 53mins: It's 15v15 again as Williams comes back on for Worcester. 46min: Crane goes over for a try after a driving maul by Tigers, who are making the extra man count. Lamb converts with an excellent kick from wide. 43min: For those interested, Cockers has been spotted in a temporary cabin by the GNC Stand, well away from players and the bench. 42min: Warriors are down to 14 men after No.4 Mike Williams is sin-binned for blocking off Lamb. Half-time: Tigers 18 Worcester 3 40min: Mele try. He looked like he may have to come off 20 mins ago with Scott Steele warming up. Good ball from Cole at the breakdown puts in Mele, who runs over from eight yards out. Lamb converts under the posts. 37min: Lamb misses a kick-able penalty. It's a shocker to be honest as it drifts yards wide. 34min: Mieres penalty after Tigers fail to roll away at the breakdown. 11-3 30min: Croft goes down with a head injury, a worry for a player with his history, but he's back up quickly. A knee to the face from team-mate Allen is to blame. 28min: It's been a quiet opening game to be honest so far. Tigers are on top and are keeping the scoreboard ticking over. 24min: Lamb puts over his second penalty. 23min: Backs coach Paul Burke: "It's been a very positive start. I'm very encouraged." 14min: Lamb misses difficult conversion. 13min: Adam Thompstone goes over for a try in the corner after good ball across the backs. A lovely grubber kick by Niall Morris puts Thomsptone in. 10min: Lamb has another chance from a penalty, but it drifts wide. That's a missed chance. 6min: Ryan Lamb puts his first points on the board for Tigers from a penalty after Worcester were penalised during a breakaway. 4min: Ignacio Mieres has a chance to put Worcester ahead from a penalty, but his effort goes wide. Referee Luke Pearce gets us under way.. Of course, there's no Cockers today banned from any match-day involvement with his squad for the next seven games. He's allowed at Welford Road today though, and is apparently in the newly-renamed GNC stand.. One of my colleagues mischievously suggested that, Rory, the mascot, seems to be close to the players today! Send us a note if you spot Ccokers today? It's a competition with no prizes though as the match-day budget is limited. 2.03pm: Tigers centre Anthony Allen warned, in the Leicester Mercury yesterday, that this was a potential banana skin and they would be treating Worcester as a top-four side. Why, when they really struggled in the second half of last season? All those new signings and new management make Worcester a bit of an unknown, Allen rightly argued. Tigers have also been hit with an injury list that must make director of rugby Richard Cockerill weep, especially as a ball has not been kicked in the Premiership season yet. Backs Scott Hamilton ( hamstring), Matt Smith (broken and dislocated thumb), Sam Harrison (back), Mat Tait and Miles Benjamin, who are still not fit after undergoing surgery, are all missing. New signing Gonzalo Camacho is still away with Argentina. Plus, of course, Youngs and Tuilagi. However, all that being said Tigers will be looking for a bonus-point win today to get the season off to a flyer. 1.55pm: The breaking news from here at Welford Road is that both Ben Youngs and Manu Tuilagi, who were on the replacements' bench, are both out of today's game after failing late fitness tests. We assume that the nerve damage in their shoulders sustained during the Lions tour is still too bad for them to be considered even for the bench. First of all apologies, technical problems mean our Cover It Live is not working, but we'll still bring you updates live from Welford Road. Welcome to Welford Road for the opening day of the Aviva Premiership season – and, hopefully, it will be worth delaying your Sunday lunch for. Opening days are always exciting with new signings in action and we have nine either on the pitch or on the replacements' bench this afternoon. Tigers have Ryan Lamb at fly-half and David Mele at scrum-half, with Neil Briggs and Owen Williams on the bench. Worcester give debuts to five new signings - captain Jonathan Thomas, Ignacio Mieres, Jeremy Su'a, Mike Williams and Jeremy Becasseau all start today. There is also a return to action for centre Ravai Fatiaki, who missed much of last season through injury. Worcester are also under new management in Dean Ryan, who takes charge of his first top-flight match in over four years. Reported by This is 6 hours ago.
