*YEOVIL v LEEDS* Huish Park, Saturday, 12.15pm *Verdict:* Just when it looked like Vincent Tan's dictatorship at the helm of Cardiff was the pinnacle of farcical footballing situations, it all kicked off at Leeds. McDermott was sacked, then he wasn't. Although amidst all the crazy goings-on, it didn't stop Ross McCormack leading the charge as they dispatched Huddersfield 5-1. They will still be extremely fired up as they fight for their manager and travel to a Yeovil side with just two wins at home all season. *Prediction:* 0-3
--------------------
*BARNSLEY v IPSWICH* Oakwell, Saturday, 3pm *Verdict:* Emmanuel Frimpong's debut for Barnsley went well. He was sent for an early bath just 30 minutes into their 1-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday. Things are starting to look really grim for the Tykes. They are five points adrift of safety and have won just once in their last 10 in all competitions. Ipswich are still fighting for a play-off place, four points off the top six, so a win here would keep them within touching distance. Away win for me. *Prediction:* 0-1
--------------------
*BLACKPOOL v NOTTINGHAM FOREST* Bloomfield Road, Saturday, 3pm *Verdict:* Aside from City, Forest are the form side in the division. Billy Davies' side are unbeaten in 14 games and have really started to find their shooting boots. They have bagged 11 goals in their past three league games and have a place in the FA Cup with fifth round to go with it. Their opponents could not be enjoying more differing fortunes. Having lost their manager, they have now lost their best player as Tom Ince has gone out on loan. It's only their early-season form that's keeping them out of a relegation battle. Although, if they continue going as they are, no win in 12 games now, they could soon find themselves in one. I can't see them stopping a rampant Forest. *Prediction:* 0-2
--------------------
*BOLTON v BOURNEMOUTH* Reebok Stadium, Saturday, 3pm *Verdict:* Bolton fans must have a rather persistent crick in their neck from constantly looking over their shoulder at that relegation zone that just will not go away. Three defeats in a row and no win in six sees them sit just four points above the drop zone. They have acquired the services of Liam Trotter, Yannick Bastos, and Lucas Jutkiewicz so that should breathe fresh life into Dougie Freedman's side. I have been impressed with Bournemouth both times they have played City this season and I think they will cause problems for the hosts. Yann Kermorgant is always a handful and I think the Cherries could get something from this one. *Prediction:* 1-1
--------------------
*BRIGHTON v DONCASTER* Amex Stadium, Saturday, 3pm *Verdict:* At the turn of the year, Doncaster were languishing inside the relegation zone. But a real promising start to 2014 has seen Paul Dickov's side pull five points clear of the drop. They are enjoying a four-game unbeaten run, with back-to-back home wins thrown into the bargain, and confidence will be high. They travel to a Brighton side in pretty indifferent form. In their defence, though, they have had four away games in a row. They now return to the Amex where they have enjoyed three wins and two draws in their last five in all competitions. They are very dangerous on the attack and I think their strength will see them end Donny's streak. *Prediction:* 2-1
--------------------
*BURNLEY v MILLWALL* Turf Moor, Saturday, 3pm *Verdict:* Burnley are still hanging on in there for that second automatic promotion spot thanks to their thrilling 3-3 draw with QPR last weekend. However, out of their last six games in the Championship, they have won just two and have Derby and Forest rapidly breathing down their neck. They have a great chance to keep the pressure on Harry Redknapp's charges against a Millwall side that's lost eight of their last 10 away games in all competitions. With Danny Ings and Sam Vokes showing no signs of slowing up in front of goal, my money is on a home win. *Prediction:* 3-0
--------------------
*CHARLTON v BIRMINGHAM* The Valley, Saturday, 3pm *Verdict:* Despite all of Charlton's comings and goings during the transfer window, Chris Powell's side look like they might have some real problems at the back this weekend. Rhoys Wiggins, Lawrie Wilson and Leon Cort are all out of action while Chris Solly is also doubtful. That does not bode well for a side that is in the bottom three and on a run of three straight defeats in the league. An inexperienced Birmingham showed some real heart to nick a last-gasp draw with Derby and I think they will be tough to beat tomorrow too. *Prediction:* 1-1
--------------------
*HUDDERSFIELD v WIGAN* John Smith's Stadium, Saturday, 3pm *Verdict:* Huddersfield could still be without star striker James Vaughan tomorrow as they look to stem a run of three straight defeats in the league. A thumping 5-1 defeat at the hands of Leeds will not have done their confidence much good at all and they could really be up against it versus a Wigan side still in with a chance of the play-offs. They are seven points adrift of the top six but are still my dark horses for a late surge due to the immense quality in their ranks. Their away form isn't the best but I think they will be too strong for the hosts tomorrow. *Prediction:* 1-2
--------------------
*MIDDLESBROUGH v BLACKBURN* Riverside Stadium, Saturday, 3pm *Verdict:* Ever since the in-form Boro came away from the King Power Stadium on the end of a 2-0 defeat, Aitor Karanka's side have struggled to gain the momentum they showed during their previous six-game unbeaten streak. That defeat and the two subsequent goalless draws seem to have killed off any hope of a play-off push. Blackburn, meanwhile, are in with a real shout of a top six spot. They are unbeaten in three and come into the game following a 2-0 victory over Blackpool. While Jordan Rhodes's goals seem to be drying up, Rudy Gestede looks to have taken up his mantle with aplomb. But Boro are a real force at home, and have lost just one of their last 13 home games in the league. I think this could be a tight one and wouldn't be surprised to see them share the spoils. *Prediction:* 1-1
--------------------
*READING v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY* Madejski Stadium, Saturday, 3pm *Verdict:* Stuart Gray has done a mighty fine job since taking over the reins at Wednesday. Against all the odds, he has dragged the Owls six points clear of what, earlier on in the season, looked like near-certain relegation. They are unbeaten in seven games and have drawn their last four games on the road. They are clearly difficult to beat. Unfortunately for them, though, they are up against a red-hot Reading, who are now banging in the goals for fun; 15 in their last four games to be precise. Wednesday will do extremely well to avoid defeat tomorrow and, sadly, I just can't see it. *Prediction:* 3-1
--------------------
*DERBY v QPR* iPro Stadium, Monday, 7.45pm *Verdict:* I am really looking forward to this game. The Championship's leading scorers going up against the division's meanest defence. Having said that, QPR were breached three times by Burnley last weekend on home soil. So they are anything but watertight at the minute. And, if anything, their Achilles heel has been their inconsistency on the road. Meanwhile, Derby have turned from the best away side, to one of the best home sides in the division with six wins out of their last seven at home. A win on Monday would put them a point behind their opponents. Real tough one to call, this. *Prediction:* 2-2
