This is Leicestershire -- A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with cuts and bruises after two thugs robbed him in an alleyway.
The teenager suffered cuts and bruises on his face when he was attacked for his phone in Humberstone Road, Leicester.
Two thugs hit the boy several times as he walked along the alleyway, which links Humberstone Road and Longcliffe Road, before they took his white iPhone 5.
The victim was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary for treatment following the robbery, which happened shortly before 7pm on Wednesday January 30.
Detective Constable George Fraser said; "We believe there were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident and it is those people who we want to talk to."
The victim has been able to provide only a limited description of his attackers, who ran away toward Humberstone Road.
They are both approximately 5ft 6in, of medium build and were wearing dark clothes hoods covering their faces.
