The Leicester League's summer competition kicked off with close encounters across the board as all three matches finished 12-8.The tournament, in which 10 teams of three compete for the Elbow Tankard, got off to a competitive start, with the handicap system helping to create three tight contests in which no player won all of their games and every player won at least one. In Group A, Park Rangers beat Vicars, while in Group B, Electric City beat Park Keepers and Park Attendants defeated Bishops.
