Police are appealing for witnesses after a 34-year-old woman was robbed in Leicester.
The victim was walking along Baggrave Street when she had her mobile snatched at about 10.45pm on Thursday June 19th.
She was walking towards Wood Hill and had just passed the junction of Granby Avenue when a man approached her from behind and grabbed her phone.
The suspect has been described as a black man, about 5’6” tall and aged between 35-40. He was of medium build, had short hair and was wearing a dark blue cardigan and black jeans.
The officer investigating the incident is PC 1132 Alex Newbery, he said: “This is a serious incident in which a woman was targeted as she walked close to the back of the Jame Majid Mosque. The incident has left her very distressed and I’m urging anyone with information to come forward.”
