Burst water main causes flooding on Leicester road This is Leicestershire -- A burst water main has caused flooding on Victoria Park Road in Leicester this morning. Severn Trent Water said the burst happened at about 7.30am and was not affecting local residents' water supply, although some people might receive slightly lower pressure. A spokesman said engineers dealing with the problem and it should be fixed by lunchtime today. Cars were still driving through the flooded area, near the junction with St Leonard's Road, this morning. Nearby resident Nils Richards said: "I woke up and heard the sound of cars splashing through water, like you do when its raining. "It looks like the water's coming out at the front of someone's house. It's not stopping the traffic, people are just driving through it." Reported by This is 5 hours ago.
