This is Leicestershire --
Loughborough College student Natasha Bacciarelli is among a group of students set to be awarded a prize at a major event celebrating exceptional talent in physics.
The A-level student was thrilled to receive her invitation to the Leicester and Leicestershire Physicists 2012/13 presentation evening at the University of Leicester this month, following her nomination by tutor Martin Thorne.
"It was a complete surprise to be recognised like this. I don't see myself as being good at physics, I'm just absolutely fascinated by it – and I have to say that a big part of that is having such an inspirational teacher in Martin," she said.
Natasha, 20, from Quorn, is studying chemistry, biology, maths and physics.
Mr Thorne said: "I had no hesitation in nominating Natasha. She's a high achiever who is very focused on her work and who asks really insightful questions.
"It's great to see her interest in the subject developing and this prize will recognise all of that. I'm delighted."
Schools and colleges across the county were invited to nominate Year 12 students for the awards. Reported by This is 19 hours ago.
