This is Leicestershire -- A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after the bike he was riding was involved in a collision with a car in Leicester. Emergency services were called to Narborough Road just after 10.30am today. A police spokeswoman said the accident involved a motorbike and a car. It happened outside the entrance to the Wilkinson hardware store, close to where Narborough Road meets Imperial Avenue. "The motorcyclists was taken by ambulance to Leicester Royal Infirmary for treatment to a leg injury." It is not known at this point how serious the injury is. Part of Narborough Road was closed for about an hour and traffic diverted while emergency services dealt with the incident, which caused tailbacks in both directions. The road reopened at 11.33am.
