![Bath Rugby's George Ford has nothing to prove in visit of former club]()
This is Bath -- George Ford says he is approaching Saturday's visit of former club Leicester Tigers as just another game. The fly-half ended a five-year association with the Welford Road outfit this summer after choosing to continue his development at Bath Rugby. Still only 20, Ford has been held in high regard by the English rugby fraternity since becoming Tigers' youngest professional debutant five months before his 17th birthday. But restricted to limited game time behind England ten Toby Flood at Leicester, Ford made the bold move to leave the Aviva Premiership champions at the end of last season, with Bath beating a host of suitors for his signature. As he prepares to come face-to-face with his former employers for the first time, Ford says there is no added motivation ahead of the showdown at The Rec. "You do look for when you are going to play your old club but we just have the mindset of taking each game at a time," said Ford. "We wanted a good start against Newcastle and we got that, it's just about the next game now. That's Leicester and we've just got to prepare as well as we can to give ourselves the best shot on Saturday. "I'm just treating it as another Premiership game. "It's Leicester and they are coming down here as champions and the benchmark for the rest of the Premiership. "They are the best team out there and we know, as a team and individually, we've got to be on the top of our game to even challenge on Saturday. "It's nothing personal and I don't feel I've got anything to prove. "I had a great time when I was at Leicester and some great experiences and great memories. There are no hard feelings or anything personal towards anyone. "I built some good friendships there. They are all brilliant lads, I can't say a bad word about anyone." Ford showed exactly why he is so highly regarded with a near-faultless competitive debut for Bath in Friday's win at Kingston Park but was quick to praise the foundations laid by the pack in front of him. "It was a good start for us. We got there and the weather was pretty horrendous but the lads – especially the forwards – were brilliant," said Ford. "The forwards put all the hard work in to earn penalties, so what you want to do as a goal kicker is pay them back otherwise they won't be happy."
