![Hull City transfer talk, January 29: Tom Ince for Tigers talks? Leicester cool Jack Hobbs Link and Steve Harper donates to Tyneside charity]()
This is Hull and East Riding -- Our daily blog with the latest news, transfer rumours and gossip about Hull City in the Premier League. Ince inches closer to Premier League move – but is he having talks at Tigers? With the transfer deadline looming, clubs are battling to do their last business before the window closes until the summer. And one player who is of hot interest is *Tom Ince* The Blackpool Gazette say that the *Tangerines* winger is due for talks in Hull today and will then nip up to Sunderland afterwards. The paper say that so far, unsettled Ince has discussed a loan move with *Swansea*, whilst also meeting with *Crystal Palace* on Monday. Yesterday, Tom, along with father Paul, were snapped at *Stoke*'s training ground, where they met with manager Mark Hughes to talk over a possible deal covering the rest of the season. The Gazette say the 21-year-old will speak to Steve Bruce today before finally nipping to *Sunderland*. The Daily Mail are also reporting that Ince could confirm his decision as soon as tomorrow. An English club would still need to pay a hefty compensation fee in the millions if recruiting Ince at the end of his contract, whereas European sides could snatch him for as little as £155,000. If our research is right, City would be able to sign Ince on loan, despite having Danny Graham and Jake Livermore already at the KC on loan presently, but would need to take him on a permanent deal at the end of the campaign. Current Premier League rule V.7.6 states: Not more than 2 Temporary Transfers shall be registered by a Club at the same time except that there shall be excluded from that number: V.7.6.1. any Temporary Transfer which become permanent;" However, City have been linked with many a target during this transfer window, and Bruce quashed the Tigers link during the aftermath of last night's 1-0 defeat at Palace. "No, there's nothing in that at the moment. We're not likely to do anything before Friday," Bruce told BBC Radio Humberside. Leicester cool Hobbs interest *Leicester* boss *Nigel Pearson* has cooly batted off questions surrounding interest in Tigers defender Jack Hobbs. Bruce stated on the wireless that he had not heard of any dialogue between the Tigers and the Foxes for the past 24 hours regarding the signature of Hobbs. Pearson signed the defender from Leicester in 2011 when he was in charge at the KC Stadium. Hobbs, 25, is still wanted by the club he was loaned to in Nottingham Forest, as well as fellow Championship sides Reading and Wigan. *Pearson* kept his cards close to his chest regarding the interest in Hobbs, but said the club may have to move into the transfer market before the window closes for a defender. "I've been informed that he is on our radar tonight, which is quite interesting. I'm not sure where that came from," Pearson told the Leicester Mercury after his side's 2-1 victory at Birmingham. "He certainly hasn't been on our radar but I think before the window shuts we will have to have a look to see whether (defender) Ignasi Miquel will be fit enough to come back into the squad for the weekend." Harper lends helping hand to Tyneside charity And finally, Tigers goalkeeper *Steve Harper* is helping kick-start a Tyneside charity's appeal – by donating £10,000. The stopper is supporting the Toma Fund's launch of fundraising for their new Some Time of Our Own Appeal. The Toma Fund was set up by Andrea Thompson and her husband Dave, from West Denton in Newcastle, after their son Jordan lost his battle with acute myeloid leukemia back in September 2007 when he was just 15. The idea for the respite caravan came to Andrea after her family enjoyed a week in a caravan after Jordan had finished his first round of treatment. The charity needs to raise £66,763 for a caravan to offer to families with children undergoing cancer treatment a respite break. "Andrea does a phenomenal job with her work with the Toma Fund and when she received the donation she was very keen on this Some Time of Our Own Appeal and when she put it to me that this is what she wanted to do I thought it was a great idea," Harper told the Chronicle Live.
